happens on amazon too. avoid buying from brands with a name that consists of seemingly random letters. one time a bought a grey usb hub that had blue ports, advertised as being usb 3.0 but when i received it all the ports were usb 2.0 and it didn't work with my keyboard. had to get a new one from anker. linus tech tips made a video about this too
edit: usb 3.0 is usually color coded blue, so a blue usb 2.0 is misleading. good way to check is to see if there are 5 pins in the back
