I got a laptop and after having one I wouldn’t go back to desktop, it’s just too convenient to be able to take it in a backpack to a friends house and game in the same room, move it around my house, etc.

Nope, you can always buy used monitor, mouse and keyboard, ive lowballed a guy selling a razer huntsman v2 analog for 60 bucks, basically gave him a excuse that the volume buttons broken (which it was) and that theres better condition ones for cheaper (which wasnt true) but the lad had it up for 5 months so he was just tryna get rid of it 😂

The R5 5600X only supports DDR4 RAM. And 500$ for peripherals is waaay overkill for most people.

Who tf is this dude and what does he mean by 500 dollars on peripherals for desktop, you need them for laptop too, 1440p monitor (depends whether ips or va) max 300, could be less lets say 200 on sale which isn't unusual and is far better than any laptop monitor, headphones lets say 40 bucks but they will be incomparable to the far inferior laptop speakers, mouse lets say 20 wired, 35 wireless ( log 305, a great mouse) you'll also need a mouse for laptop, keyboard 30 bucks wired , 40 wireless, which is also far better than laptop keyboard and you would get one for laptop anyways, plus the difference between laptop 4060 and regular 4060 or any amd card is quite significant as laptop GPUs and CPUs are tuned down in terms of performance and power so they don't get fried, just don't listen to people saying that laptops are an okay deal, plus why 4060 when you can get a 6750xt, 6800 if lucky or even a goddamn 7600 which are just way better, so buddy fancy rgbs in the background dont mean you're right
Ik pc would be better but for students like me laptops are more portable
