  2. can you even make money at 13.4 cents a kwh?

I looked everywhere: newegg, canada computers, amazon, nvidia search tool, msi store search, best buy, evga, i can't find any place to buy that card its so weird.. someone help where can i buy some???

Netherlands here, our circuits are rated at 3500 watts at 200V.

Why waste 20$ on wire shelving instead of just paying extra 20$ for actual setup on Amazon lmao

What I like about you is this; you don't give off attention-whore, superficial, click-bait vibes…Too many of these blockchain crypto passive income "advisors" on YouTube have certain trademark dishonest behaviors. They talk to us like we're dumb, and also speak too vaguely on what is admittedly a detail-specific instructional undertaking. I'm not in favor of going trigger-happy with accusing 90% of them as "scams". I think that accusation and term is over-used, particularly by normies who don't want to put in the work-research to learn blockchain, risk-management, etc. I can tell you are an honest guy because you don't have 1M subscribers from the herd. I can tell you are a truthful man of real fiber and sinew because you're acknowledging and talking about the details which other comparatively phony YT content-makers would've glossed over or not even bothered to mention. When a really underrated and insightful original channel has only a few thousand subscriptions, I generally trust them more than the larger entities. There's something I don't trust about a YouTube content-creator w/ 1M followers who is promising the audience that setting up a Node, or a Mining-Rig is "oh so easy" and something like overcurrent protection of a circuit breaker is not even mentioned or elaborated upon. And that's the vast majority of these insufferably clone-like pricks. But you, sir. I really admire your channel. Take the Hobbyist Miner channel and Your Friend Andy channels for example. Sure, admittedly, I can filter some of the occasional good information they impart, but they're basically flaunting their superior computer knowledge and easy passive income carefree lives, while often sugar-coating certain realities, omitting crucial details, speaking vaguely or in fake and naive false reassurance tone that is just incredibly annoying. I can't stand those two channels in particular, although I do try to absorb what good i can from them…

You can buy a MB with only two PCIE ports, you can use a four port PCIE extender to put eight cards in. The main focus should be on the chipset, like AM4 has 16 PCIE lanes and the Intel chipsets varies between 6 and 24. You just have to read the description. I always buy MB's with atleast 12 or 20, depends on the number of cards in the build, since mining uses one PCIE lane per card.

A lot of advice in this video is outdated or inaccurate. It’s almost as if this was recorded in 2020…
Don’t buy an intel cpu for mining. They are not profitable.
Use server power supplies instead of desktop atx.
Don’t buy cheap risers from Amazon. Parallelminer and gpurisers have been reliable stores for a long time for everything you would possibly need.
Don’t buy mining specific cards that have zero resale value.

The electricity usage advice was on point just dont buy any of this stuff from a decade ago.

If 9 months goes by profiting 750$ , ill never retire, my hydro is 100/m

i have 2 houses with free electricity, been mining like a maniac for 4 years stright now. This month im planning to add more gpus while they`re still cheap. Nobody knows what next halving will bring to POW coins so better to be prepared.

can you start kripto mining at 16 yrs of age?

80 percent wall rule noted. ❤

gotta be honest the recommendation for GPU is terrible. Way better off with a 1660ti

  16. blank

I dont get why you want us to buy a motherboard with so many PCIe slots but u only want 2 GPU to mine with?

  17. blank

you could get a second hand Epyc MB where you can split the PCI lanes on the PCI-16 interfaces, they have something like 128 PCI lanes

  18. blank

I looked these up… Didnt realize nvidia made these just for mining….interesting

much better off with an rx580 or an rx5700xt . . . . . . you can triple mine etc, zil and gram – hardly anyone is talking about this triple combo. also your new rig should be am4 so you can put in a nice cpu and get cpu mining AT THE SAME TIME. all our rigs have the cpu on SOMETHING eg ghostrider on zergpool – payout in bnb anybody NOT cpu mining on their gpu mining rig(s) is a really silly berk. my top tip for a starter rig is am4 board with b450 chipset – ryzen 3600 , dual ram and two rx5700xts. install minerstat linux get the gpus in R mode – dual mine zil and etc on k1pool – and slip in the gram mining on top. then you can run xmrig on the cpu and mine randomx on unmineable and get paid out in bnb or whatever . all ryzen 3600s can get over 7000 randomx hashes easily. when you have learned on the starter rig THEN you can go nuts and spend a fortune. your gpu recommendation is off imo – rx580 much better. also rtx2080ti is a monster on certain algos it can mine more gram than an entire rig of rx580s

Which coin should I mine with this setup?

    some considerations:
The title of this video is correct, but with those recomendations there will be no return even on a heavy Alt. Season bullrun.. it will take years to recover the invested money.
1 – waterblock add extra cost and add the risk of leak and pump failure, consumes more power than a regular heatsink: makes no sense in mining – no miner uses watercooling.
2 – RAM: at least 8gb (the price diference is too small compared to a 4gb one)
3 – If cpui mining isn't a possibility, better get a celeron (or a newer AMD processor, like A3000), they use much less power and generate much less heat, a small stock cooler can handle them, avoid water cooler.
4 – one AMD 6600xt can do what 3 CMP 30hx at the same price and lower energy… CMP30hx makes no sense in my opion. GPU performance can be check on https://www.hashrate.no/gpus
5 – power advices, specially regarding the eletric circut cauntions, are great!

Got 24 of them. Absolute bargain cards!

Would like to see a profit update on this rig. A short and sweet 5min video.

If you dont put price up front it seems scummy bro bit of a scam feel ( SCAM FEEL)

am not sure GPU mining will be profitable anytime soon even in a bull run,

  27. blank

You are right on spot, thanx. This helps and confirms my own thoughts.

  28. blank

I really liked the video. Let's try to strike a conversation on building a private dual cpu/GPU system that can mine and train LLM systems (something I am also interested in).

Radio shack is still a thing ?

  30. blank

Are really people making a living off of mining and how long does it take to actually start seeing results of making money? I don't know a thing about mining or crypto 🤔

  31. blank

    What about amd threadeipper?

What speed should the SSD be?

  32. blank

Bru ffs man really? U put a graphic card u cant fking find to buy the [MSI NVIDIA CMP 30HX MINER] for 2024. U serious? This is what you recommend as a gpu u cant find?

    Whore for the gear😂😂😂

I want to see an FPGA Based Mining rig

  35. blank

i did not start ,i think i am late to start mining, but i loved the experience, from you simplicity in explaining,
please tell us more about what is the currency which we can start mining these days

This is what I did.. turned on old case on it's side with side panels off, placed on a end table. Used an on HP motherboard with a Core 2 Quad and 4 PCIe ports. Bought a PCIe splitter card, Cheap server PSU and breakout board. Used an old laptop hard drive and installed HiveOS. Started combing FB marketplace for cheap 5700XTs… I'm in at $260 on those. Also using RX48/580's but the original purpose was to heat my place this winter. GPUs are standing upright with my air purifier blowing from the bottom upwards.
