I think Greg could make serious bank selling his hair to high end wig companies each time he gets a haircut.
You build a lot of PC's, but you seldom tell us what you do with them once complete. Donate them, take them apart for spares, keep them?
Looks great me
That case is .5 Gregs tall
i would have gone with the RYUJIN III AIO
Very nice. Personally, I'd have had the pipes from the aio pump at the 3 o'clock . Look a bit stretched at 6
That's fine if you don't buy one of those mother boards in error
NGL – this case is hideous. Not only that, but ASUS still platering their stupid, "For those who dare" nonsense on their hardware.
Pro-tip – Dont install your GPU when the case is upright. Just lay it down and properly install it.
the voice crack got me
Great job on this build.
This needs to become a standard
Black on black wasn't a wise choice to show this off 🙂
anyone who has stock in cablemod
should sell now
I think the concept is cool but I see a few issues. The pass through is cool but is vendor and generation locked. What happens when there's another change to PCIe supernatural power spec. I can't utilize the pass through if I have a MSI card. If Asus gets the other vendors on board with the pass through spec, it will be a different story. Odds are the supplemental power specification will change long after whatever generation of mobo and GPU are e-waste, so it's a negligible concern but one that at least one person will have. As for the rest of the concept it is cool. If there is an additional premium it could be a hard sell. At the end of the day the performance is all that really matters.
A chunky air cooler would be awesome. That water cooler look small.
ASUS need to chill with the ROG branding. Doesn't scream premium with giant logos and REPUBLIC OF GAMERS plastered anywhere and everywhere.
I'd actually pay extra NOT to have that branded all over.
Cool build. I'm not a big fan of the case though. Also, not a big fan of all of the "Republic of Gamers" slogan all over the PC: It's lit up on the graphics card, lit up inside the case, and also etched on the bottom front of the case (not lit). That's 3 times too much for me.
I wish all motherboards were made like this one.
I am staying away from ASUS. I used to love their brand but not so much anymore. It is definitely a sweet build though. Super clean job
Does it melt though 🤔
Hopefully the standard going forward. Shocking it took this long, kinda seems like common sense.
yeahhh.. do not want.
I think that the next gen boards will lean into this more.
i could see side motherboard connectors taking off but not something like this, would be pretty clean especially if the normal case cutouts are close, and obviously, you could use it with a standard ATX case given it has somewhat decent cutouts. im pretty happy with my bare asrock motherboard, no "armor" or "shields", or even a m.2 cover just a simple exposed board
Nice job on the video! Not a fan of the cable-less design though. Cables can be a style element and this removes that element. So builds could end up looking a bit more generic.
"Just give <mumble mumble> heart attacks"
No, Greg, you're not on the LTT channel.
can it play crysis tho?
Looks great Greg.
OK ! I agree with you 100% on that case being way to "extra" hahaha But I am so exited about this no wire look that is starting, I am hoping this becomes the norm! Always enjoy your videos! Keep up the good work!
It would be cleaner with a full metal side panel. I miss seeing the circuitry on the mother board and GPU…. already.
It's not so much the graphics card that's huge, it's the cooler.
Does anybody know why Greg only connected 8-pin CPU EPS connector instead of 16 5:15 onwards. That makes me think that somehow the other 8 pin connector is optional?
Awesome build as always. Very clean and looks great. Would have liked to see a test or two. Thank you for all your hard work.😊
Very nice minimalist look, and I like the muted RGB, and that says a lot coming from a no RGB guy.
i like it but my god that tower is huge. im more of a mid tower kind of guy for building in
Huge tower cooler with screen display would have been better for this massive rig!
unfortunately unless the onboard videocard socket becomes an accepted standard that will die like so much proprietary components in the past. At the shows there was a concept card that had both a power socket that adapted into the onboard port and a pair of 8pin ports, either hidable depending on how you do it. Until cards like that come out these will be niche products except when someone wants to build for them.
I wanna see hardlined cooling so there's even more straight lines in there
Genius idea from ASUS here.
Not only your motherboard will overvolt or set unlimited tdp power profile on your cpu, but also thanks to high power 12V rail pass trough will nuke itself if that fails.
I am interested to see the MSI one 👀
I got the same case.
Beautiful, but ventilation is kinda meh.
My only issue with the BTF board is the 12vh power.
Those things are already melting on 4090's.
So the question then becomes is that going to take out the motherboard as well as the gpu?
I love everything else but yeah..I'm not touching anything with that power connector.
I just got the Corsair 6500d, looking forward to a full ATX AM5 board soon.
id cooling Aio over one of the most expensive gpus out?! swing and a miss!
Can we see an all msi build using their version of zero cables
Brother… are you insane? 77 degrees in your house in FLORIDA??? i live in FL too and i can’t even deal with 74 on my ac, how are you not melting.
