Sequential abandoned the Prophet X before sorting out all the bugs with it, or maybe that’s the reason they dropped it for dead? They couldn’t be bothered with pesky customers any more. Customers that paid $4000+ for a synth/sampler with a cheap PC motherboard inside and a crap power supply….
