Mineral Oil Submerged GPU Crypto Mining Rig Build – Part 2

The one where HashRaptor continues the Mineral Oil Submerged GPU Cryptocurrency Mining Rig. We will test a large reservoir and Thermaltake radiator to see if either will cool adequately. We will also document issues along the way. In the next video we will build out the rig and test frame concepts.

? Collected Best Practices:
✅ Do not use Rubber in Mineral Oil as it will degrade.
✅ Do not operate the Mineral Oil above 50C as it may damage the tank and other components
✅ Cooler Fins should be aligned Vertically to effectively circulate the oil through the cool.
✅ Fans will spin at a much lower RPM, but will not burn out. They do help circulate the oil.
✅ Check the Tank for any clear plastics that are difficult to detect
✅ Rubber suction cups turned rigid after 1 week in extremely high mineral oil temperatures (with no active cooling radiator).

⚙️ 3M Enterprise Fluid (See Cryptocurrency Tab):
? At the time of recording, 3M did not have pricing on the web, but after contacting 3m, I was told it is roughly 4x to 5x the price of regular mineral oil. This is due to the specificity of the enterprise grade oil, and how well it works for this application.
