To enable auto login, click on the Application Menu and search for the ‘Login Window’ utility. Click on the “Login Window” utility icon to open it. The Login Window’s dashboard screen will appear. Click on the “Users” tab to enable the auto-login feature.

numlock is in log in window (start menu)
First install: sudo apt-get install numlockx
Then login window-settings-numlock on

To install times new roman fonts:
sudo apt install ttf-mscorefonts-installer

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:ubuntuhandbook1/dvdstyler
sudo apt update; sudo apt upgrade
sudo apt install dvdstyler

Add the kernel parameter nvidia-drm.modeset=1 to the grub file.
Use this command to open the file for editing:
xed admin:///etc/default/grub
Change this line;
GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT=”quiet splash”
To this:
GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT=”quiet splash nvidia-drm.modeset=1″
Then update grub and reboot:
sudo update-grub

Step 2 Screen tearing: Pics in video:
Still had screen tearing, next I did this. we’ll see:
Open NVIDIA X Server Settings:
Choose X Server Display Configuration
Near the bottom click on “Advanced”
Check/Tick “Force Full Composition Pipeline”
Apply & Quit & reboot
Hope this fixes the tearing. I’ll know today.
