Detect the flash drive using
lsblk

To show selected disk output type
lsblk -f /dev/sd*

To format the usb disk, first unmount the disk from computer
sudo umount /dev/sdb1

Wipe out all the existing filesystem on the disk
sudo wipefs -a /dev/sdb

create disk partition table
sudo cfdisk…
