Meghana Pagadala, BS, University of California San Diego, San Diego, CA, discusses the polygenetic hazard score (PHS), PHS290, controlling for family history and ancestry and where it can be improved upon. The PHS290 algorithm identified individuals with a score in the top 20th quantile to have four times greater risk of dying from prostate cancer compared to those in the bottom 20th quantile.
