  1. Can't you zoom in with Ctrl + + in files like in cosmic-term or are you referring to something else? list view is also supported no?

  2. Total nitpick, but I hope they make the labels center aligned in the apps menu.

  3. I like it a lot, i just want it so when you minimize apps they go back to their icon and not a second icon. Also window in focus border is way too big and needs work

  4. Does cosmic desktop install pipewire? I guess not.

  5. I'm curious what you think about the rise of cosmic desktop in light of the fact that KDE is not receiving all of the funding they need. I know it sounds a bit random but if the userbase, even if its only a fraction of people, eventually move to cosmic, how will this affect the long-term development of KDE if it receives even less donations? Something ive been thinking about, could be nothing but would like to get your take 🙂

  6. Two versions of the application is a Flatpak feature – you can install system-wide or per-user. You can install both as they go to different locations. If it installs both when you requested just one, that would be a bug.

  7. I don't know how it all works, but can Wayland maintainers now just roll FreeSync into its code base to address the screen tearing issue? If not possibly as a one-to-one drop in, could the code not be adapted, at least, for a display protocol use? It's open source, so why not use it?

I'm guessing it just wouldn't work, but am just wondering if it would.

  8. What system monitor are you using 😍 ?

  9. I just use it in a vm because 1 i don't want to run a alpha as a daily and 2 i'm waiting for a more stable release.

  10. I thought the microphone (or sound capture) issue you had would be much worse lol, I am glad it wasn't that bad. Anyway, I really like the UI of Cosmic DE, and I like the fact that it's based on GNOME (?).

What I don't like is that, I have to go to terminal all the time and do a sudo nano /etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base.conf and then I have to add "options snd-hda-intel model=alc294-lenovo-mic" . I have yet to see a Linux distro that is compatible with my laptop (or whatever the issue is, that is preventing the OS from using my Asus ROG Strix G15's speakers.).

Also, does arch or arch based distros finally come with Nvidia 560 drivers? I have been thinking about installing EndeavourOS but if I do the nvidia-inst on terminal, will I get the option to install 560 driver?

Oh, and one more thing, when I had Fedora 40 installed, I had the same ubisoft launcher bug thing (whenever I would launch Ubisoft Connect through Lutris.) I hope they fix it before the final release.

  11. flatpak works on the shop on pop OS 24.04 alpha with the popdev:master repo. No such issue there

  12. im in arch on desktop and im not seeing the scroll bug on apps

  13. Whats the name of the fetching software you used?

  14. Do you know how long it might take for this update to reach the main Arch repository? I installed it using sudo pacman -S cosmic, but I still don't have those updates yet 🙁

  15. Don't understand how Cosmic devs still haven't addressed the turning off the displays when the system is locked. Literally killing the planet.

  16. Man Cosmic is looking so good. I have full faith it will sit at the top with Gnome and KDE.

  17. dude gr8t video even with the audio issues lol, as for cosmic looks like its going to be a banger when its ready

  18. How are you getting these new fixes and patches for alpha1? Are you building it yourself?
